I have a basic request for information concerning user of the nfs product.
Please excuse my ignorance about NFS usage.......
I have a basic understanding that NFS can be divided into various features
basic functionality- mount/ transparent file access
with options - lock manager support
- yellow pages
- Secure NFS
Question 1 - is this a view common among NFS circles?
Question 2 - to what extent do customers require these features or others if I
have left some out? Do all customers require all options? Can some
customers use some options without others?
Your help in answering these questions will be greatly appreciated......
