[comp.protocols.nfs] reference implementation for NFS?

Hi,

I am looking for a public domain reference implementation for NFS
that runs in user space on SunOS 4.1.  A while back I thought I
heard mention of such a beast being available.  Does anyone know
where I can retrieve it?  Or any other public implementation (with
source) that runs in user space?
