I have installed the packet driver for pc/nfs. I understand it cannot support other software using ip protocols simultaneously, but how can I disable pc/nfs so that other software (such as ka9q nos) can access the packet driver. Only thing that has worked for me is to change config.sys, etc and reboot. Just dismounting all the nfs devices and stopping the rdr does NOT work (at least for me). There's got to be a better way to turn nfs off then rebooting, right? As I'm sure this has been discussed previously, mail would be fine. Thanks

We have had some success with this by starting TWO packet drivers and diddling with the vectors so that only one of them is actually fielding card interrupts at a time. When you switch back to the one that PCNFS is talking to, do a DIR on a network drive to wake it up again. (You may have to do this several times (and retry from the abort message)). This is, of course, very gross. Ted Nolan ted@usasoc.soc.mil
