Today I was playing rogue (version 5.2), when all of a sudden it exited me, giving my prompt, without saying anything. I said rogue -r, and it restarted the game, but it didn't draw the rooms right and the bottom line was somewhere in the middle of the screen. At the top of the screen there was a message "In some bizarre place (4,44)". When I tried to move around, it made weird lines and dashes and @'s all over the place. Sometimes it would say random ordered pairs followed by --More--. I read some scrolls and that worked ok, except that it typed the messages on different parts of the screen instead of the top. I couldn't get it to do anything reasonable. I saved the game again. Is there anything I can do, or should I just throw it out? It wasn't a particularly exciting game, but I'm curious to find out what happened.
