Hello - I have the responsibility of explaining any security risks from using nfs between multiple systems......I have heard, or read parts of items that say one can drive trucks through the holes in it (sic)... The population I must explain this to are senior and executive vice-presidents at at bank.....Is it possible, or probable, that one, I can get any information on the risks of using nfs (not just those risks from gaining access as root, but also including those), and two, how this applys to specific instances where data is at risk... What I mean by #2 is not just the code or info from the manual...but specifically how it would apply to a specific case or problem.... Our bank uses mutiple flavors of UNIX and we are intending to use either kerberos or sphinx..... Any guidance would be greatly appreciated..... ps...I use dial-up to reach the Univ of Delaware and my response to any mail messages I receive may be awhile in coming.
