[comp.protocols.nfs] PCNFS and packet drivers

keng@zcar.asd.sgi.com (Ken Greenebaum) (03/12/91)

A while ago there was some discussion (and I think code posted) that allowed
PCNFS to use the Clarkson packet drivers.

Could someone answer some questions:
-where does the code reside?
-how is performance affected?
-are there any known bugs?
-how much more (less?) memory is required?
-Any general comments?

I would like a 286 PC to do double duty as a ka9q based slip gateway, and
as a general NFS client PC.

Thanks!

PS Thanks to the people that suggested using ka9q as a slip gateway.
   It works well!
