	Who is/are the person/people who turned Rogue into this
    Super Rogue v. 7 I keep hearing about?

Does anyone out there know the author and origin of a rogue-like
game called AD_D ??  It's similar to rogue in format, but it
has more monsters and allows you to equip yourself at the 
beginning.  It also has more bugs and is easy to cheat on
(although I haven't "won" yet, because I end up doing something
stupid usually).
