I am curious about how different file server products are compared and what their relative performance is. For example, a 386/33 running either (for example) Interactive Unix and NFS, or Novell. Both Sun and Novell make claims about how many "users" they will support. How are these numbers measured, and has anyone directly compared NFS and Novell on the same hardware? -- Rich Goldschmidt: uunet!fjcp60!golds or golds@fjc.gov Commercialization of space is the best way to escape the zero-sum economy.
