I have been working on a TCP sockets program using PC-NFS Programmer's
Toolkit on a PC. The program (ported from a SUN) works fine, but every now
and then there is a pause of a few seconds. On examination this appears to
be when a packet is not ACKd in time. The retransmit timeout seems to be
set at 4 seconds and does not vary. Is this correct? Is this a problem
with PC-NFS? Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to change the
retransmit timeout?
Thanks in advance for any help, Graeme.
