Hi there. I'm not sure this is the right group to ask this in, so if not, please forgive me (and maybe tell me who to ask!:)). We seem to be having a bit of a problem using net print to print files from PC on our laserwriter, which is hooked up to our Sun SPARC 1. The problem arises when the following steps are followed: 1. On the PC, the command net print file1 is typed. 2. On the PC, the command net print file2 is typed. Immediately, upon examining the print queue, one notices that the sizes for file1 and file2 are identical, and indeed, this new size matches neither of the sizes of either of the original files. Furthermore, if we attempt to remove either of the files from the print queue, the one that remains is miraculously reduced to 0 bytes long!! We are running PCNFS version 3.0.1 from both a 386 machine and an IBM AT, and get the same problem on both. Our sun is running Sun OS 4.1.1, but the problem was evident when running 4.0.3. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Please reply via e-mail to the sunspot.ssl account, as I do not in general have time to read the news. Thank you all in advance. --------------------------------------------------------------- norman | "The guy with the hair." |"This is glue.
