Yes, games like rogue are not relaxing like sitting in the dark listening to Mozart is relaxing, but the energy and excitement used is different from what makes one so tired and rundown after a day of work. It IS relaxing to take one's mind off work for a while by playing a game, I think, even if the game is not exactly 'relaxing'. It's something *different* from the same old grind and it's NOT IMPORTANT. I mean, you can get upset about dying with good magic, but it's not the program you've been hacking on for three months. Anyway, that's why I play rogue and D&D, etc. When I'm really keyed up, I like something that occupies my mind more than just relaxing would. It keeps my mind from racing (and losing!) over old problems. I feel refreshed at a time when I couldn't take a nap. on and on and on ... - rene (rene.umcp-cs@Udel-relay, or something like that)
