I am looking for information on asynchronous I/O facilities currently offered by Cray, Convex, Alliant, and other supercomputer vendors. Subtopics of interest are: operations provided, polling vs. asynchronous event notification, cancellation, POSIX draft compliance, architecture- dependent features, etc. A brief summary would do.
