Subject: Myrias

Myrias went into receivership on October 25, immediately after HP announced
that they would not be investing in the company. NRC will, therefore, not
be providing a Myrias computer for researchers who need parallel
processing. NRC will not be buying any other parallel architecture machine
either. It was at Industry, Science and Technology Canada's request that
NRC was going to buy a Myrias system as a way of supporting Myrias/Canadian
computer manufacturers.

Perhaps Dean knows more about it, if anyone is interested enough to ask.
