[gnu.gcc.bug] gcc 1.28 on sparc

ramsey@cs.purdue.EDU (Ed Ramsey) (09/23/88)

stage1/gcc -g -O -Bstage1/ -msoft-float -sun4 -c fold-const.c
stage1/gcc -g -O -Bstage1/ -msoft-float -sun4 -c rtl.c
stage1/gcc -g -O -Bstage1/ -msoft-float -c genflags.c
stage1/gcc -g -O -Bstage1/ -msoft-float -o genflags genflags.o rtl.o obstack.o
./genflags md > tmp-insn-flags.h
sh: 1363 Memory fault - core dumped
*** Error code 139
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `insn-flags.h'

One user, who runs gcc on the sparc, commented that he didn't use the
-msoft-float option. Perhaps this is where the trouble lies. Has
anyone worked around this problem?

Thanks.
