[gnu.gcc.bug] Gcc 1.29 "fix" available?

zeeff@b-tech.ann-arbor.mi.us (Jon Zeeff) (10/11/88)

Gcc 1.29 doesn't seem to be able to compile itself on a Sys V.3 '386 system.
Does anyone have this working?

To be more specific about the Sys V.3 '386 bug:

If I don't use the reload.c patch, tree.c won't compile with gcc. If
I do use it, no modules will compile, apparently because of an
infinite loop somewhere in cc1.

It appears that any information variable i had before the patch is
lost by the patch. Is this what was intended?
