[gnu.gcc.bug] c-decl.c has illegal lhs

rpj%cadillac.cad.mcc.com@MCC.COM (Rich Johns) (01/10/89)

Environment:   gcc 1.32 (patched 1.31)
Hardware:      sun3/60
OS:            4.0

Configuration: tm.h -> tm-sun3.h
               aux-output.c -> output-m68k.c
               md -> m68k.md
               config.h -> xm-sunos4.h

I am trying to recompile gcc after applying the 1.32 patches to 1.31.
While compiling c-decl.c I get the following:

 "illegal lhs of assignment operator in c-deck.c"

The offending line (736) is

  DECL_RESULT_TYPE (new) = DECL_RESULT_TYPE(old);

The same error occurs later at 3147 along as well as a warning
about illegal combination of pointer and integer. This seems to
obvious to be anything other than a wrong turn on my part.
