I came across a very interesting bug in rogue 5.0 today. An orc was heading for some treasure behind me, while I was heading for the orc. Strangely enough we walked through each other, no hits no walks no errors(!). Write if you get work and hang by your thumbs. Steve Hawley

A more interesting variant of this is that if an orc is headed for gold, if you step into the spot in which it is about to step, you can move toward the gold occupying the same spot as the orc!! It is if as you are riding on its shoulders. This ends when you reach the gold. The orc stays put and attacks you. -- Bill Sebok Princeton University, Astrophysics {allegra,akgua,burl,cbosgd,decvax,ihnp4,kpno,princeton}!astrovax!wls

That's not a bug. The Orc walked through you (past you, actually) because it was more interested in the gold than in you. Why shouldn't it be? - Keremath, care of: Robison decvax!ittvax!eosp1 or: allegra!eosp1

Not a bug, that is in there 'cause Ken thinks it is fun (actually, I agree with him). Joe (Lord of the Universe) Kalash kalash@berkeley ucbvax!kalash
