The source was uucped from osu on 1/26/89 (gcc) and 1/27/1989 (the rest). I have not been successful. Gcc compiled without any problems, but occasionally gets a segmentation fault on all sun3/50s I have tried (no other machines though). G++ did not link successfully as it arrived from osu. The routine "__eprintf" used in assert.h was not compiled. According to the patched Makefile and the diff file, "gnulib.c" is not necessary in 1.32. But I fixed it and tried to link again. Now g++ does not compile libg++/builtin.cc. It gets a bus error. Please let me know if you have heard of someone successfully building gcc and g++ on a sun3 os4 without any modification to the source. If I am breaking new ground, that's fine, but it would make me feel better just knowing that.
