"Malformed patch at line 47644: diff -rc2N gcc-1.35/gcc.texinfo gcc-1.36/gcc.texinfo" I got this same message on both a SUN3 running SUN OS 4 and an AT&T 3B1 (same version of patch). I had this same experience except on Unix SYS V/386 3.2. The patch file is ok.
