Environment: Sun3/180 SunOS 4.0.3 initial compilation of gcc no GNU tools used (or available) except emacs (no BISON) using files for gcc-1.36.tar.Z from prep directly After some time, I figured out how to read the info pages for gcc within Info mode and followed the suggestion in node Installation to create a subdirectory gcc-sun3 (.../gcc-1.36/gcc-sun3) in which to do the compilation. `config.gcc' worked fine and I started `make'. When it came time to link together `cc1' program, `ld' complained that I had no c-parse.tab.o. Sure enough, I didn't and `make' refused to build one. when I gave the command 'make c-parse.tab.o'. I suspect that this is because there is no c-parse.tab.c in the current directory. What is supposed to happen at this point? Is there supposed to be a special rule for the compilation of c-parse.tab.c?
