[gnu.gcc.bug] Gcc 1.36 complains of an unterminated character constant in /usr/include/sundev/vuid_event.h

muir@csi.com (David Muir Sharnoff) (01/13/90)

When compiling X11R4 on a Sun 3/60C running SunOS 4.0.3, Gcc 1.36 complains:

	/usr/include/sundev/vuid_event.h:42: unterminated character constant

I am sending this to all of you (X, GNU, & SUN) because any of you could
fix the problem in the long run....

when installing gcc under 4.0.3, it could put a special version of
vuid_event.h in gcc-includes (or more generally, it could look for
unterminated character constants in system include files & fix them)

the X installation notes could mention the problem.

the -traditional flag could be used when compiling the files that
	include /usr/include/sundev/vuid_event.h.

	/usr/include/sundev/vuid_event.h could be fixed.
