The sun2-os4 configuration in the GCC 1.36 distribution does not work
under SunOS 4.0.3 running on a Sun-2. Executables created by the
compiler terminate with a segmentation fault, apparently somewhere in
the startup code. It looks like the problem is that tm-sun2.h was
(not surprisingly) never updated to work under SunOS 4.0. (It isn't
exactly by choice that we're running 4.0.3 on our Sun-2's; the usual
complaints about performance are very well taken).
I was able to build a (seemingly) working GCC 1.36 using the tm-sun2.h
enclosed below. I created it by patching tm-sun3.h with the
CPU-specific differences I detected by comparing tm-sun3os3.h and
tm-sun2.h. Since we don't have any floating point hardware, I am not
sure if the FPA configuration options work as stated.
