Then it'll say, "Killed on level 21" instead of "Quit". I think this is a good use for a scroll of sleep. ---- "Fritz! You don't have to go to sleep to get killed, and anyway you pay the 10% gold penalty when killed vs. quit.

, (sop to the blank line eaters--consider it a religious sacrifice) The best use for a scroll of sleep (along with cursed armor and weapons and other assorted "useless" items) is to throw it at monsters. It has the same chance of hitting (I think) as any other thrown device, and while it will not kill very many things it may kill jackels, bats, eyes and Kobolds.
