[net.games.rogue] level generation -- how is it done?

     Does anybody know the algorithm used to create a level?  We do not have
     source here of course, and I am interested in what kind of data structures
     are used to make maps of rooms/mazes/corridors.  Posting the answer might
     be appropriate, since I am sure many of us are interested.
