I don't know why everybody is making a big fuss over ice monsters. If you're anywhere near full hit points, just go in and beat on it hand-to-hand. Usually, one good swipe will do it. [Did you say "eyes" or "ice"?] You don't want to mess with a Floating Eye or Ice Monster unless your armor is good.
