Has anyone successfully gotten the 7.0 distribution to work with 4.3bsd as opposed to 4.2bsd or Ultrix? I've at least gotten it to compile by pretending that 4.3bsd = Ultrix, but I can't get the resulting scheme to load the compiler (it thinks the heap is too small) or to work with Edwin under X11 (I have to make Edwin in interpreted fashion, and when I say (edit), I get a message to the effect that there was a primitive error and I need to get a guru--not the most encouraging thing for this relative UNIX/X novice to see)! If anyone has gotten all subsystems--especially the compiler and the Edwin using X11--to work properly under 4.3bsd on a Vax, I'd really love to hear from you! chewy@apple.com
