I'm a prospective learner of SCHEME, having been inspired by the Abelson, Sussman & Sussman book, _Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs_, but I'm pretty ignorant of programming (Pascal, C at a modest level for a literature student), new to UNIX and to LISP, and in possession of a glittering SUN SPARCstation 1 I'm just beginning to understand. With all these disabilities, I suppose I shouldn't bother with LISP, but if possible I'd like to get SCHEME working on my SUN4. I ftp's the code and have read the README and INSTALL files, and am about to compile and run the Wsize program to begin altering the config.h file. It occurs to me that if any place in North America has SUN4s running lisp, MIT is that place. Is there an implementation of SCHEME Lisp for the SUN4 that I've missed? I notice a reference here and there to the machine, but I'm uncertain. Sorry to be so dull. Any help you can spare will be welcome.
