Is there any Non-public-domain Scheme available for ftp? Seriously, yes: MIT CScheme from altdorf.ai.mit.edu. Works on most unix platforms; easier to compile on some than on others. There are several others (like xscheme, gambit, elk, etc.). Greetings, Hardy -------****------- Meinhard E. Is there any Non-public-domain Scheme available for ftp? YES! A long summary just posted to compl.lang.scheme details TI PC/Scheme sources, available for FTP, and NOT public domain, since TI retains copyright on them. LOTS of things that are available for FTP are NOT public domain, for example all GNU Public License 'copylefted' materials, so why not Scheme?! Followups on definitions of 'public domain' to misc.legal, please... -- Alex Martelli - CAD.LAB s.p.a., v.
