I am involved with maintaining the V source code for our group.
As the group gets bigger, we need a way to manage everyone's
work nicely. I am trying to find something similar to SCCS
and MAKE with automatic check-out. I know V system use RCS
and BUILD pair but I could not get auto check-out to work.
Actually, I am not sure if that exists.
Could anyone enlighten me on this? What would you do if
there is only one master copy of source on line and several
people trying to modify a small subset of files at a time.
We hope everyone of us has only the files we changed in our
home directory, but we should be able to build a whole V kernel
image also in our own home directory.
