Has anyone found an effective use for a potion of levitation in 5.3 rogue? This one really has me wondering. ADVthanksANCE.... Howard Campbell.

[Eat hot death, bug!] I've never tried this out, but it makes sense that it would work. (Of course, that's no guarantee) Trapdoors sometimes occur just in front of doorways, making it impossible to enter or leave the room. Now one would think that if one were levitating, it would be impossible to *fall* down through the trapdoor, allowing one to walk (or float) right over the trap and into or out of the room in question. Anyone know if this would work? Lewis Barnett,CS Dept, Painter Hall 3.28, Univ. of Texas, Austin, TX 78712 -- barnett@ut-sally.ARPA, barnett@ut-sally.UUCP, {ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!barnett

Yes -- levitation is useful as a way to get over traps of all kinds. (Mostly, though, it's just a nuisance.) --- Prentiss Riddle ("Aprendiz de todo, maestro de nada.") --- {ihnp4,harvard,seismo,gatech,ctvax}!ut-sally!riddle
