We have the following problem here: when we try to boot a Sun workstation running OS4.0 the Explorer prevent the boot. What happen is that when booting the Sun broadcasts a RPC/UDP message to the portmapper in order to get the program bootparam. The Explorer answers this query by an error message telling that it has not this program. But this error message interrupts the Sun's boot. In order to let the Suns boot we have to switch the Explorer off. Did somebody face the same problem? Is there a simple solution? We have an Explorer II running system rel. 4.1. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= QUINIOU Rene quiniou@irisa.fr INRIA / IRISA Phone : +33 99 36 20 00 Campus Universitaire de Beaulieu Fax : 99 38 38 32 35042 RENNES CEDEX - FRANCE Telex : UNIRISA 950 473F =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
