thanks to all who made suggestions--I've found a good one. the company is small, and doesn't have an internet link yet (it'll be partly my job to establish it), so in a couple of weeks I'll be offline for a few months. I shall return! probably with more code goodies too. the disk drives got shuffled here, so the free code is off for the moment. wait a few months... -- clint see you soon!
