Does anyone have a used but working SIB for an Explorer I for sale? One of our machines woke up with its screen striped (vertically) today, and GDOS tells me that test 44 failed (with a pretty detailed description of what may be wrong). This, as far as I can tell, means that the board needs to be replaced. If we have TI come here, it would cost us approx $7400, which is pretty much. Any offers (even complete used systems for a reasonable price) are interesting. -- Bjorn Victor Bjorn.Victor@DoCS.UU.SE Dept. of Computer Systems tel: +46 18 183169 Uppsala University fax: +46 18 550225 Box 520, S-751 20 Uppsala, SWEDEN

Bjorn, Have you considered mail-in repair? I don't know if it's different from Europe, but my price list reads $1,580 to repair an SIB. -- Rich
