A friend just received his Mac II, and wants to know if he can use a generic Postscript laser printer with it while he waits for his LaserWriter (about 8 weeks). He has a DEC LN03 with the Postscript option (This is a Ricoh engine, I think, and definitely an out-of-date printer, but, he has it). Might he have to modify the Apple LaserPrep and/or LaserWriter files? Does anyone know what would need to be done? Or is this just a waste of time?
