It's me again ... Now, we've got some problems with a RSTS 9.3 Monitor. Recently we mounted some new disk hardware to our system (2 RP04 drives). These, controlled by a RH11-compatible Controller (DataRAM) are obviously wired for RP04 DB: interrupt vector 254(8). We don't know that exactly, because we don't have any documentation for this controller :-( :-( :-( . But the fact is, that, RSTS is normally configured for handling DB: drives through vector 224(8), that is, for RM02 drives. Now, INIT.SYS detects that a DB: controller is present, but it doesn't find the vector (as it should do automatically). In previous versions of RSTS (we used 9.0 before) you could change the vector to 'non-standard' by manual control (HARDWARE/VECTOR option of INIT.SYS), but that seems not to be possible any more (you can only change the card reader vectors at V9.3). Two questions : Does anybody know how to patch the vector default in INIT.SYS to 254 or change it otherwise ? Does anybody have the documentation of this DataRAM controller, that we can change the vector selections on-board ? Thanx in advance ... -- alderaan OP RKOpdp (RSTS/E) FB Mathematik/Informatik RKO Berlin Dieffenbachstrasze 60-61 1000 Berlin 61
