Leprechauns and Super-leprechauns are the same beastie. How much gold they leave behind (or steal) is determined in the following manner: When they die, a saving throw is made vs magic. This is the same saving throw that determines whether you are Umber-confused, Dragon-flamed, bounced-bolt burned, arrow-attacked, or dart-weakened. You need [ 17 + 3 - (level/2) ] or less on a 1d20 roll. (Straight AD&D here.) If you blow it, (which is usual for low-level rogues), the Leppy steals five times the amount of gold you would get in a typical room for that level. On the other hand, if you make your saving throw after killing him, you receive 5 times as much gold as normal. Note that the above is based on my detailed knowledge of the 3.7 version. For example, the 3 in the above equation is probably different for each kind of attack. All you 5.3 people might find things different.... Carlton Hommel Wife: How come I got negative hit points?
