How come EVERYONE says: I dropped the amulet before going down again. The QUESTION is why? In SuperRogue 7.0, I took the amulet at level 30, and still kept on going down, all the way to level 83! So why does everyone drop the amulet? ___ Gandalf

In 5.2 and 5.3, if you wish to accumulate a lot of useful magic
before facing pre-hasted, superbly armored monsters below level 29,
a strategy is to climb back up to level 1 then go back down again.
If the amulet is carried during subsequent trips down, levels
encountered are devoid of treasure. So, the amulet should be dropped
at level 1 before beginning new descents. I have never played
Super-Rogue, much as I'd like to (we don't have one here!)
