Once you've quaffed a potion of blindness, can you search for hidden doorways with the 's' key? For example, if you go down a level into a room with no doors, and you are blind, is there any way to get out (assuming I can't teleport) before the blindness wears off? Thanks, Carol

It is my impression that searching while you are blind is useless.

I've never had the 's' key do anything productive while blind, though lord knows I've hit it often enough. Not much else to do if you're blind in a room with no doors. I think the 's' key should work, although at a disadvantage, when you're blind. After all, you might find the hidden doorway by touch. (Hear that, rogue gods?) -- "Trivia is important." In 5.3 being blind made you pretty useless, you could not even search for hidden doors.. Dave arpa: Sewhuk.HENR@Xerox.ARPA uucp: {allegra, rochester, amd, sunybcs}!rocksvax!dave
