[comp.protocols.iso.x400] does *anybody* listen to the request address????

kehres@TIS.LLNL.GOV (Tim Kehres) (12/29/89)

Yes, I have been reading the -request address for both mhsnews as
well as ifip-gtwy here at tis.llnl.gov. Unfortunately, due to an
extremely heavy travel schedule this year (I've been in the USA for
only about 90 days this year, and about 60 in the San Francisco area),
it has been difficult to keep up with things at all times. For the
most part, while I was in Tokyo, it was possible to keep fairly on
top of things (even the notorious mail list loop introduced by an
un-named individual north of the border). During the past several
months, the nature of my work has changed, and I have been traveling
to Europe without reliable network access, which has caused problems.

Due to the change in the amount of time I am able to allocate to the
maintenance of the mailing lists (as well as the USENET gateways),
coupled with a probable change of employment in the near future (which
is unrelated to the travel), both the mhsnews@tis.llnl.gov list as well
as ifip-gtwy@tis.llnl.gov as well as the related gateways will most
probably be moved to another site sometime in January. I have been
looking into this for several months now, and feel that it is important
to locate a site and person that can properly maintain and keep the
lists running. We believe that a site has now been identified, but the
details have yet to be worked out. As soon as I have more definite
information regarding the movement of the lists, I'll post a followup
message.
