Version: 4.2
Nickname: Advanced Rogue

There is a multitude of monsters (> 100) with interesting abilities,
and unique creatues like devils, demons, and gods.

There are characters classes (eg. fighters, clerics, etc.), together
with special abilities for each of these classes.

Monsters are intelligent, they can use weapons (eg. bow and arrow),
they can run away when hurt, and they can be trapped.

There are quartermasters and Friendly Fiend markets to purchase
items.

Scoring is based on experience instead of gold.

The goal is not always the Amulet of Yendor (it can be such items as
the Ankh of Heil or the Wand of Orcus).
(continued)
There are "non-standard" magical items, such as an alchemy jug and
gauntlets of dexterity.

Other various reasons, including my being one of the authors.

Version 6.0CB(mctesq was here)
Nickname(ex.SuperRogue)cbrogue

I dislike this version because:

It is so hard to win! Folks tell me it is THE hardest to win. We
just got SuperRogue (9.0) last weekend. I'll be glad to get to know
it.

I am currently running:
Version 1.4 (?)
Nickname: Advancde Rogue
on a 3B 20 machine.

I like this version because:

 1. It has the greatest number of monsters.

 2. Your score is not the amount of gold you
happen to find, but is your experience.
(continued)
 3. It has Friendly Fiend's Flea Market,
shimmering pools, mazes (I hate mazes),
4 different rogue characters, party rooms,
and it requires alot of thinking and
    cleverness.

 4. The monsters do different (and terrifying)
things which provide a constant source
of amazement. One such jamboree is the
Horned Devil--I can't get over how many
    bad things it can do.

I dislike this version because:

 1. I has a Blink Dog bug which is as bad and
frustrating as the fabled Nymph-Saved game
    bugs in 5.3 (grrrrrrrrr).

 2. I don't have a chance in the world of ever
seeing level 35 where the amulet is.

 3. Not anywhere near enough magic is around
(continued)
in the level 20 to 25 area to give a
player the remotest chance of dealing with
the demigods, demon princes, and arch devils.
I have hacked away at the Ancient Bronze
Dragon and won, but Vaprak, Orcus, and
Asmodeus blow me away like snot in one shot.

Mr. LIU, I don't understand how you can distribute, on the net,
an article which contains a statement that:

Any reproduction of this article without
the express written consent of the author
	is illegal. {Spelling corrected by TR}

Net distribution is itself a completely uncontrolled activity.
There is no way you can ascertain what sites will receive your article
before you send it. You have certainly sent it to sites without
giving written permission. In addition, you have sent it to
COUNTRIES that, based upon the format you used, would refuse to
enforce your copyright in the courts.

Why am I complaining? I think that when copy rights are misused,
it tends to weaken other's rights in the confusion. Please be more
precise about your own rights and permissions next time.
