<crush crumble chop> Latest news update on free rogue sources: I got a letter from the authors of the program, and they had this to say: 1) My version is old (1.7) and "buggy" and the current one is good (3 years in the making, v4.4) 2) They would not like me to distribute my source, as it is old and buggy. 3) The new stuff has improvements, like better magic. 4) They may be willing to distribute binaries through me. I have received dozens of responses to my initial posting, and have released no source yet. I think that source (albeit old and buggy) is better than binary, and that distributing source is what brought about this version of hacked rogue in the first place. The result: I am freezing my distribution plans for the time being. I hope that the good source will be distributed so that people on systems like pyramids, suns, duals, etc can enjoy the luxurious splender of playing rogue on their own cpu.
