THE EAN SUPPORT TEAM IS NOW ACTIVE! =================================== Thanks to SWITCH, a project has now been started in Trondheim to do support of EAN. The tasks that the project is to tackle are at first hand: - Gather bug reports and fixes to EAN - Define a list of fixes to go into a new version - Apply these fixes to the EAN version 3.0 from UBC - Release this version on SUN and VAX/VMS platforms. We will also want to include support for as many other platforms as possible, but this may be limited by funds and/or time. In the long run, we want to set up a more-or-less permanent project, funded by all involved parties, to keep on providing support for EAN, thereby ensuring that this software keeps on being an effective tool for the R&D MHS community. What we want YOU to do is: - Find out what problems you have with EAN that need fixing - Find out what patches you have made to EAN that need support - TELL US! - by sending a message to the project group. The clearer a problem description is, or a patch is, the more chance you have that we will include it. We have installed a "trouble ticketing" system, so that you should be able to ask about the progress of your particular bug or fix through the versions.
