I am trying this agan since I am note sure my original message ever made it to the outside world. This newsgroup just started appearing at our site. I have been trying to send the following comment via e-mail. However, the gnu-bugs address I am using seems to cause some problems. Anyway, here is the comment. To: bug-gnu-emacs@prep.ai.mit.edu I have noticed than when editing large files buffer positioning commands do not always have the desired effect. For example going to the end of the buffer ( via M-> ) leaves you right back at the start of the buffer. Presumably this behavior is caused by the 24 bits of data / 8 bits of tag used in elisp. Can anything be done about this problem? Did I miss a relevant option in the build procedure? Thanks in advance for any hints/suggestions/explanations. -- Jose Oglesby oglesby@multiflow.com Multiflow Computer or oglesby@mfci.uucp 175 North Main St. or ...!uunet!mfci!oglesby Branford CT 06405 (203)-488-6090
