[gnu.emacs.bug] EDT emulation

mcvearry@CMX.NPAC.SYR.EDU (11/08/88)

We have version 18.52.3 of Gnu Emacs. Someone here would like to use
EDT on one of our computers that has Emacs on it, and we would like to
not have to buy an EDT emulator. However, it seems as if EDT is only
partially emulated in our version of Emacs. In particular, the GOLD
key doesn't work, and none of the GOLD functions seem to be implemented
anyway. Is there a version of Gnu Emacs in which EDT is fully emulated?
If not, are there plans to fully emulate it?

Thanks for your time.

We have the same need, I've looked a bit into the problem. The gold key
seems to be defined correctly but I believe it has some thing to do with
defining the keypad but I'm having trouble with the syntax of the .emacs
file and it is also possible I didn't localize the installation completely.
