(Emacs 18.51 on Spix/Sys V) Help recommends: "Type C-x 4 b RET to restore old contents of help window." This only works if the help window happens to be the next window after the current window. This is not true if, for instance, a help window existed before you asked for the most recent help. I suggest that a specific sequence restore the help window, for instance HELP RET, guaranteed to always work.
