As a new user of emacs I thought I would point out something which I thought should be mentioned in the manual. In the section on Searching and Replacing text it is mentioned that there is less need in emacs for a global replace function than in other editors. I think that this would be an appropriate place have a cross reference to "Narrowing" as the two things seem to me to be very closely connected. -Castor Fu castor@fizzle.stanford.edu
