[gnu.emacs.bug] write-file when a same-named buffer exists doesn't rename buffer

mcgrath%paris.Berkeley.EDU@GINGER.BERKELEY.EDU (Roland McGrath) (02/19/89)

GNU Emacs 18.52.12 of Mon Jan 30 1989 on hecuba.Berkeley.EDU (berkeley-unix).

If you have a buffer visiting file /dir1/foo, and one visiting
/dir2/bar, doing write-file /dir1/bar in the `foo' buffer
leaves it named `foo', rather than `bar<2>'.
