This is in addition to the last message. I have found all nine rooms! (I had before, but forgot to mention it) There are no teleport traps, and no pits. I can send a copy if you want it. I think (maybe) I have found a bug. I you have a solution, please send me mail. D.S. Breese

If this is a duplicate posting I apoligize. I am a novice player who fell through a maze trap at level 8 My question is of course, is there a way out. I posses in my pack two staffs of teleportation. Also most of the maze is visible and is almost devoid of monsters. If you can suggest a way out or any other suggestions, I will appreciate them greatly. The amulet found around level 20? One must be on level 26 or deeper to
find the amulet for Rogue versions 3.6, 5.2 and 5.3!

Falling through a trap puts you one level lower. Scrolls of teleportation will zip you around the level you are on. A maze is just a special type of "room" and can occur on any level. To go up a level, you MUST have the Amulet of Yendor (found around level 20). To get out of the maze on the same level, search for secret doorways along the sides of the maze.

x Why does it seem that i can never continue a saved game after my character reaches about 5th level? Is it just our system, or is there some avoidable bug? To be specific, when i try to restart the game, it either bombs after my first move, or it core dumps immediately, or i get any one of a zillion messages like 'saved game not in same file'. You neglect to say which version you play. Anyhow, EVERY version I've played (3.7,5.2,4.2,7.0) there is no such problem. Of no help, ************* Gandalf * ROGUE MAG * editor *************
