GNU Emacs 18.50.3 of Wed Aug 17 1988 on rigel (usg-unix-v) If the rmail output file is in a buffer, the message you're saving doesn't get put at the end. In fact, it doesn't even get put in in a clean place: it gets put in where point happens to be, which may totally screw up the structure of your RMAIL file. To reproduce: Get into RMAIL. "o" into file foobar. Visit file foobar, and go to its top (M-<). Now go back into RMAIL, and "o" again. Look at foobar: the message has been put in before the BABYL OPTIONS, breaking the structure of the foobar file.
