I would like the option of having my files auto-saved after a certain period of time as well as after a certain number of keystrokes. I say this because I was editing a file verrrry slowly, and I lost about 299 characters when I knocked my modem, but they were very carefully chosen characters and I can't bear to try to re-create them. Wordperfect (at least on the Amiga) does this, but it doesn't autosave after a certain number of keystrokes, and it doesn't look at whether the file has been modified since the last save. You want time.el from Kyle Jones <talos!kjones@mcnc.org>. It does everything the standard version 18 time.el does, plus allows timed auto-save, plus even more goodies. I won't clutter the net by including it in this message, but let me know if you can't get in touch with Kyle. < Stephen
